Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt is an industrial designer. After graduating from Stuttgart University, Germany in 1989, he attained a postgraduate qualification in design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design.
He spends his first years in industry at Mercedes Benz and at DesignworX, where he redesigns the LOGO of the AUDI brand in 1994. In 1996 he founded his own design studio in Stuttgart: code2design.
Michael Schmidt and his team have been awarded more than 50 international design prizes and in 2011 he received the AQUA CULTURA PRIZE for his services to the culture of the bathroom.
Since 2019, he has been working as a freelance consultant for FSB in the field of innovation and design management.
