Lynn Harles

Lynn Harles is a Research Fellow at the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation in Berlin and a PHD candidate at Bauhaus-University in Weimar. In her works, she explores the potential of speculative and social design practices to enable novel ways of public engagement in science and to foster societal-based innovations. Her work focuses in particular on the impact radical technologies, such as modern biotechnologies, which merge the boundaries between humans, nature and technology. In her theoretical work, Lynn aims to expand the ideological notion of speculative design practices by trying to establish them as a scientific practice within the framework of society-oriented innovation research.
