Laura Schütz

Laura Schütz is a founder and designer in MedTech. She has studied both Architecture and Design at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), as well as ETH Zürich. In 2020 she received a M.Sc.(TUM) in Industrial Design, which she passed with high distinction. After having finished her studies, she founded the startup Stella Medical, where she drives the innovation of a surgical navigation system for spinal fusion surgeries. For the design of the medical device, she has been awarded two Universal Design Awards and the International Award for Universal Design – Silver. Apart from her entrepreneurial endeavors she works as a research assistant at the Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures at TUM. Her research on surgical navigation has been published at the renown MICCAI conference.
