Lars Masurek

After his studies in economic geography (University of Hanover), Lars Masurek worked in economic research at the Lower Saxony Institute for Economic Research and the Institute for Applied Innovation Research since 2001. In 2005, he moved to the Economic Development Department at the Coesfeld District, as project manager for innovation promotion and location marketing. Since the beginning of 2008, he has been in charge of economic development in Stadthagen, a district town in the county of Schaumburg/Lower Saxony. In addition to services for local companies, his team's areas of activity include city marketing and tourism promotion. Since 2017, Masurek has also been promoting creativity, innovation and a new start-up culture at Stadthagen under the claim 'Start Stadthagen'.
