MCBW DESIGNKINO DIGITAL

Since 2019, the MCBW DESIGNKINO format has been an integral part of the MUNICH CREATIVE BUSINESS WEEK and has since been enriching the program with international documentaries about design, creation, architecture, photography, fashion and more.

In 2021, due to the special circumstances, DESIGNKINO will take place in the digital space in the comfort of your own home. To this end, we will offer a selected design film every evening on our website as a free stream available for 24 hours. These include treats such as the documentary "The New Bauhaus" about the Bauhaus artist László Moholy-Nagy, the Eames documentary "Eames: The Architect & The Painter" and many more. Isa Willinger's first-rate documentary "Hi, AI - Love Stories from the Future" proves that the hybrid age involving man and machine has in fact started long ago. In cooperation with the University of Television and Film (HFF), we will be showing the latest edition of "DESIGN OF AND IN SHORT FILMS" on one evening - a film format in which students of the HFF Munich present their own productions with reference to design.

„Best of animago meets 10 Jahre MCBW!“  enhances our DESIGNKINO with an exclusive retrospective on the past decade of animago AWARD. The collage, curated specifically for the MCBW, can be viewed digitally throughout the entire design week.

Within the DESIGN KIDS format, we will also be offering a family film for the first time, which will be digitally available on weekends: The animated film "Boy and the World" works entirely without dialogs and is suitable for children of all ages.
