The Museum Villa Stuck is an artist's house of the late 19th century and a national and international renowned meeting place for art from the 19th to the 21st century. An important collection of works by Franz von Stuck (1863-1928) and international exhibitions on art around 1900 as well as modern and contemporary art provide an unique opportunity to experience art.Franz von Stuck's villa (built 1897/98) combines luxurious interiors and decorations, a representative artist's studio and private living. From his contemporaries, the Villa Stuck was celebrated as a "modern", albeit idiosyncratic sensation. At the Paris World Fair in 1900, the furniture that the artist had designed especially for the villa, was awarded a gold medal.
