Located adjacent to the Pinakothek museums since 2009, Museum Brandhorst complements the Munich arts district with its impressive collection of modern and contemporary art. The distinctive building designed by Berlin-based architects Sauerbruch Hutton attracts visitors’ attention with its façade consisting of 36,000 ceramic bars in 23 different colors.Running concurrently with the solo show of New York artist, Seth Price, Museum Brandhorst presents POP PICTURES PEOPLE as an illustration of the continuing relevance of Pop Art to this day through a juxtaposition of works by Andy Warhol and those by younger artists. In addition, Museum Brandhorst is showing 100 works by Cy Twombly which constitute a large part of its extensive holdings by the artist.
